Final Project : Experimentation On Wet/Mix Media - Wash Technique on Water Color

 

WEEK 11

Moving on to the final assignment, Mr. JR brief us about the theme and technique that we’re going to use.

Assignment brief :

• Technique: 'Mix Media' and 'Wash Technique' on water color
• Theme: 'High Fashion'
• Media: 
1. A3 size water color paper
2. Water color 'Artist brand'
3. Base on the previous tasks, decide on what technique you are deciding to mix with this wet media-water color.
4. Please also get: diamond shape brushes (small to big sizes), square shape brushes (small to big sizes), watercolor pallet (to mix your color), A3 size water color paper for try & error, LED light panel for tracing

Mr. JR instructed us to find 4-5 fashion editorials before choosing our final pic. These are some pics i got from pinterest that i considered to choose as my reference picture.

WEEK 12 - 14

After Mr. Jr approved the pic, I printed it on A3 size and start to trace on water-colour paper. We are also instructed to watch the tutorial video.

Moving on, I started to color it using water color, I mixed red and white to get different shades of pink color, brown and black to get the skin tone color.

For this mixed media assignment, I choose to mix watercolor with color pencil. I use water to blend the colors and color pencil to touch up some details. It was quite hard at first, but I’m trying my best to finish this assignment well. After I finish the artwork, I put it inside frame and submitted it. Below is the final artwork.
