Task 03 : Experimentation On Media - Overlapping Technique on Marker

 

WEEK 7

Moving on to the third assignment, Jr brief us about the theme and technique that we’re going to use.

Assignment brief :

• Technique: 'Overlapping technique' on marker
• Theme: 'Sport Illustrated'
• Media: 
1. A3 size marker sketch pad
2. Marker (Copic/ Kurecolor/ Touch/ Prismacolor/ or any brand)
3. Please also get: 3 - 4 gradual tones of cool grey tones & 3-4 gradual tones of skin colors
4. A3 size photocopy paper for try & error
5. LED light panel for tracing

Mr. JR instructed us to find 4-5 fashion editorials before choosing our final pic. These are some pics i got from pinterest that i considered to choose as my reference photo.

WEEK 8 & 9

After Mr. Jr approved the pic, I printed it on A3 size and start to trace and do trial on marker paper. He also instructed us to watch the tutorial video.

After showing my trial to Mr. Jr, he teached me how to do shading and the overlapping technique. He approved the trial and instructed me to just continue my work on that paper. Below are some pics of my artwork progress.

WEEK 10

I finished my artwork and Jr instructed us to submit it with frame.
