Task 01 : Experimentation On Media - Hatching on Pen

 

WEEK 1 

[Lecture, Tutorial, Practical] 05-04-2023

On the first week, Mr. Jasmi brief us the MIB for this semester. For the first assignment we are instructed to make an art with the theme ‘Black and White Avant Garde’ with etching technique using a pen. 

Assignment Brief :

• Technique: 'Hatching' on Artline pen
• Theme: Black & White Avant Garde
• Media: 
1. A3 size Illustration board
2. Black Artline pen (0.2-0.8)

Mr. JR instructed us to find 4-5 fashion editorials before choosing our final pic. These are some pics i got from pinterest that i considered to choose as my reference photo.

After Mr. Jr approved the pic, I printed it on A3 size and he showed us how to trace the photo on drawing paper. He also teached us how to do the etching technique. After briefing, we started to do the trial and error on drawing paper.

WEEK 2 & 3

[Lecture, Tutorial, Practical] 12-04-2023, 19-04-2023

On these weeks, we continued our trial and error on drawing paper. At first, I used artline pen, but as I try more i found out that using a ballpen is much easier and smoother. So I continue my trial using a ballpen. After some errors and advises from Mr. Jasmi, I finally get the stamp to transfer my drawing to illustration board.

WEEK 4

[Public Holiday - Eid] 26-04-2023

I finished my artwork and Jr instructed us to submit it with frame.
